Pink Floyd’s ‘Music on Blockchain’

New ‘Music on the Blockchain’ Research supported by Pink Floyd’s Nick Mason will be discussed at the next meeting of the Bitcoin and Blockchain Leadership Forum on 19 September.

Marcus O’Dair, senior lecturer in Popular Music at Middlesex University and lead author of the research, will be discussing the initiative at the next BBLF meeting. Blockchain technology has been described as ‘truly revolutionary’ for the music industry by Pink Floyd’s Nick Mason.

The BBLF meeting will also cover the headline-grabbing new ‘utility settlement coin’ which has been introduced by UBS with the support of BNY Mellon, Deutsche Bank, ICAP and Santander. Robert Sams, CEO of Clearmatics (www.clearmatics) will be discussing the introduction of the utility settlement coin which could become an industry standard.

And COO of Bitpesa (www.bitpesa.co), Charlene Chen will be joining the meeting too.
